RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) - Indian forces yet again resorted to unprovoked firing at Line of Control in numerous sectors on Monday.

According to ISPR, the troops opened firing in Kel, Nakyal and Jandrut sectors which lasted for several hours.

Pakistani troops responded befittingly and silenced the Indian guns while targeting their posts.

No loss of life or property has been reported yet.

Atleast four Pakistani civilians were injured a day before in the unprovoked firing by the Indian troops in Harpar, Chuprar, Pukhlian and Shakargarh sectors.

ISPR termed the Indian claim of hitting and being able to destroy any Pakistani post at LoC in Neelum valley on Friday as totally untrue.

Pakistan and India had declared ceasefire along the LoC and the Working Boundary in 2003. But both accuse each other of violating the ceasefire as tensions between them worsened since last month.

The escalations now cause civilian casualties. On Friday the Pakistani Foreign Ministry said that six civilians, including two women, were killed by the Indian "unprovoked" firing in two days at the working boundary and the LoC.
