Those backing MQM chief are against Pakistan: Khurshid Shah
Distancing MQM chief from party won't be possible soon: Aitzaz
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA) Syed Khurshid Shah stated on Wednesday that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) had no other option other than distancing itself from the party chief, reported Dunya News.
Khurshid Shah stated that MQM leadership present in London shall attempt to maintain its grip over the affairs of the party adding that whoever backed the MQM chief was against the state of Pakistan.
On the other hand, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader and Opposition leader in the Senate Aitzaz Ahsan had a different view regarding the situation. He stated that distancing MQM leader from the party shall not be possible anytime soon.
