Paper work completed for transfer of 5 ministries to provinces
Implementation commission on 18th amendment has completed paper work regarding transfer of 5 federal ministries to the provinces power by the end of November, Dunya News reported on Monday. However, decision pertaining to fate of the launched uplift schemes that come under the abovesaid ministries is still to be decided. According to the working paper received by Dunya News, the Commission has proposed transfer of 5 ministries of Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan, Fata and Azad Kashmir and other federal institutions. Ministry of Youth and its international affairs, foreign aid and inter-provincial matters would be overseen by the federation while legislation powers regarding youth, youth organization forum and youth centres would be transferred to the provinces. Uplift policy of ministry of Zakat, distribution, acquisition and distribution would also be decided by the provinces. Organising and operating matters, field workers training, policy-making and quality control, research and public policy, marketing and communication of the population ministry would be a provincial matter.
