Sugar price reaches new height

Within a time span of two weeks, sugar price reached to Rs 70 per kg
LAHORE (Dunya News) – After price check and balance in the month of Ramazan, profiteers decided to gain as much profit as they can by raising sugar prices, the price on Sunday rose by five to seven rupees per kg, reported Dunya News.
Within a time span of two weeks, sugar price reached to Rs 70 per kg in accordance with an argument that sugar price was raised in the international market which had a direct effect on the local market.
Sugar’s crushing season was still four months away and the price would rise to a whole new level if government did not pay attention to the issue which could worsen in a period of few days.
