At least 423 candidates ran for 41 constituencies of the AJK Legislative Assembly
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Polling for 41 constituencies of Azad Kashmir Legislative Assembly was held today (Thursday). The polling was started at 8:00am and will continue till 5:00pm without any break, reported Dunya News.
At least 423 candidates ran for 41 constituencies of the AJK Legislative Assembly. Strong competition was expected between Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Final results of five constituencies have been revealed exclusively by Dunya News.
PML-N has secured 33 seats, PPP 2, PTI 2, MC 3 and JKPP has secured 1 seat out of 41 seats.
The results are as follows:
- LA 13: Sardar Ateeq from Muslim Conference (MC) wins elections with a lead of 19086 votes
- LA 37: Ghulam Mohiudeen from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) wins election from Hamza Shahbaz s seat in Lahore with a lead of 1689 votes.
- LA 38: Syed Shaukat Shah from Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) wins election with a lead of 1218 votes.
- LA 39: Asad Aleem Shah from PML-N wins election with a lead of 1026 votes.
- LA 41: Abdul Majid Khan from PTI wins election with 2401 votes.
- LA 40 Valley 4: Ahmad Raza Qadri from PML-N wins poll.
- LA 33 Narowal: Yasir Rashid from PML-N leads poll with 27195 votes.
- LA 31 Gujranwala: Chaudhary Ismail from PML-N leads poll.
- LA 29: Dr. Muazaffar from PML-N leads poll with 9701 votes.
- LA-9: Sardar Farooq Sikandar from PML-N wins poll with 28595 votes.
- LA-22: Sardar Farooq Tahir from PML-N leads poll with 25723 votes.
- LA 23: Shah Ghulam Qadir from PML-N wins poll with 20120 votes.
- LA-4: Chaudhary Rukhsaar from PML-N wins poll.
- LA-19: Khalid Ibrahim from JKPP wins poll with 26425 votes.
- LA-2: Chaudhry Abdul Majeed PPP wins.
- LA-3: Chaudhry Saeed of PMLN hands over upset loss to former PM Barrister Sultan Mahmood of PTI.
- LA-14 PMLN s Mushtaq Minhas wins.
- LA-15 Sardar Mir Akbar secures the seat.
