Karachi roads, streets still littered with garbage despite Sindh CM's ultimatum
Several areas already lack proper facilities for the collection of garbage.
KARACHI (Web Desk) – Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah’s three-day deadline to clean roads and streets of Karachi will expire tomorrow (Thursday) but several roads and streets of different localities of the city are still littered with garbage and filthy material.

During a meeting on water and garbage lifting at CM House on Monday, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah had directed the Karachi commissioner and Karachi administrator to clean the city within three days.
CM Shah stated that he had provided necessary funds to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, District Municipal Corporations (DMCs) and deputy commissioners to clean the city and provide water to the citizens through tankers but nothing has been achieved so far.
He directed the Karachi commissioner and administrator to get the city clean by lifting garbage from each and every DMC of the city by involving entire machinery and human resources.
On the other hand, the KMC workers lifted garbage from Timber Market locality within minutes as Dunya News team arrived in the area.
According to sources, the local authorities have decided to seek Rangers and police‘s assistance to end encroachments on nullahs.
Accumulation of garbage in absence of an effective disposal system has become a serious health hazard creating numerous infectious and other diseases in certain parts of the city.

Several areas already lack proper facilities for the collection and lifting of garbage resulting in insanitary conditions quite visible in almost all the localities of each town.
