Flash floods, rains killed 46 people in KP in July: PDMA
Most of the casualties occurred in Chitral where 29 people died.
PESHAWAR (APP): At least 46 people including nine children and 12 women were perished and 21 others injured in segregate incidents of flash floods and heavy torrential rains in different parts the province during last 13 days of this month.
According to the latest report of Provincial Disasters Management Authority (PDMA) KP here Thursday, most of the casualties occurred in Chitral where 29 people including 21 male, six female and two children died besides four male injured due to heavy torrential rains coupled with flash floods that wracked havoc in the northern district of KP.
As many as four people were perished including two each female and children besides six others injured including five children and one male in Mardan.
In Kohat, seven people including one male, four female and two children died besides two male injured. Three people including two male and one child died besides six others including four male and two female sustained wounds in Manshera.
Two persons died including one each male and female besides two children wounded in Malakand whereas one each child was killed and a female sustained injuries during segregated incidents of flash floods and heavy torrential rains in Swabi district.
