Without compromising on development budget, budget deficit has decreased from 8.8pc to 4.3 pc: Dar

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Finance Minister Ishaq Dar on Friday stated that there were no intentions of Pakistan’s inclusion in International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) next program and added that by the difference of current fiscal year foreign exchange will reach to USD 23 billion, reported Dunya News.

During a visit to Karachi State Bank he had a meeting with CEOs of different banks. Addressing the meeting, he said that over past three years, the economic measures were improved to the highest level in the history. Without compromising on development budget, the budget deficit has decreased from 8.8pc to 4.3 pc, he added.

The minister also said that till the end of this year, it was expected that USD 1 billion would be given by global financial institutions after which Pakistan’s foreign exchange would reach to the highest level of USD 23 billion.
