Former Balochistan finance advisor sent on additional 14-day remand

The court approved the remand for the third time.

QUETTA (Dunya News) - Former Balochistan finance advisor Khalid Lango has been handed over to National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on an additional 14-day remand.

He was presented in the accountability court over the completion of his 28-day remand.

Judge Majeed Nasir expressed anger over the large number of workers.

Khalid Lango’s lawyer Baz Muhammad Kakar told the court that the case is being prolonged without any reason however; the interrogation should be completed soon.

Investigation officer argued that further disclosures have been made after the arrest of Saleem Shah due to which Khalid Lango is to be interrogated more therefore; additional remand should be granted.

The court while accepting the request approved the remand for the third time.

On the other hand, Chairman Public Service Commission Ashraf Magsi was also present in the court on the termination of his 14-day remand.

However; the proceedings could not be initiated due to the absence of prosecution’s witness.

The court while issuing notices to witnesses adjourned the hearing till June 30.
