After three days of continuous cross-border firing, Afghan forces had raised white flags

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Afghanistan has taken a blatant a U-turn after initiating unprovoked firing at Torkham Border which has entered the third day, reported Dunya News on Tuesday.

Diplomatic sources revealed that Afghan authorities had assured Pakistan to prevent any sort intervention with regard to gate construction by Pakistan border management which had resumed after the ceasefire.

After three days of continuous cross-border firing, Afghan forces had raised white flags which helped reducing tensions to an extent. Not to forget that Major Jawad Ali Chengaizi of Pakistan army sacrificed his life after due to due malicious Afghan firing.

Pakistan called Afghan ambassador to Foreign Office and lodged a strong protest with Afghanistan in this matter. Pakistan had also demanded Afghanistan to take immediate initiatives to reduce tensions on both sides of the border.
