COAS says intelligence based operations will continue to be carried out across the country

RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif has announced that country-wide combing and intelligence based operations shall continue to be carried out. He stated that Pakistan army will not return from Waziristan without achieving its targets, reported Dunya News on Tuesday.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) department, Army Chief assured the tribesmen that terrorists will not be given a chance to strengthen once again in the region while he was visiting North and South Waziristan. He stated that combing operations based on intelligence based information shall continue to be carried out across the country.

General Raheel said that the army’s concentration is based upon border management to keep a check over the movement of the terrorists.

COAS inaugurated the Miran Shah-Razmak Makin two-way road and a 100-bed hospital in South Waziristan.
