PM undergoes successful open-heart surgery in London

LONDON (Dunya News) - Prime Minister (PM) Nawaz Sharif underwent a successful open-heart surgery in London s Harley Street Clinic on Tuesday, reported Dunya News.
Maryam Nawaz Sharif, daughter of the Prime Minister, tweeted at 4:17pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST) that the open-heart surgery of the Prime Minister was a success.
Maryam tweeted that the PM is off the pump now and will be shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within an hour or so.
People belonging to various faiths and fields of life prayed for the success of his surgery.

The surgery started at 12pm PST and lasted for four hours and was carried out under the supervision of 5 expert doctors. Later, Punjab Chief Minster (CM) Shehbaz Sharif stated that the PM was transfered to the ICU, adding that he underwent 4 bypass surgeries.
Shehbaz added that the PM will return back to the country upon the advice of the doctors. Prior to the operation, PM recited the Holy Quran and also contacted his mother through a telephone call.
