Committee formed for 'effective' PEMRA
The committee would revise, amend PEMRA laws and propose new legislation where felt necessary
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Minister for Information and Broadcasting Pervaiz Rashid convened a meeting on Wednesday which was attended by the officials of Information Ministry and Law Ministry, reported Dunya News.
Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) laws were discussed in the meeting while a committee has been formed which would review the legal aspects to reinforce PEMRA laws.
In the light of Chief Justice (CJ) Anwar Zaheer Jamal’s remarks, the committee would revise, amend PEMRA laws and propose new legislation where felt necessary.
