Bukhari said that strong action will be taken against those involved in the incident

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Uzma Bukhari on Tuesday condemned the mistreatment with women during the rally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Sunday; adding that she can understand the suffering of the women and that such incidents will reduce women’s participation in the political process, reported Dunya News.

While addressing a press conference at the office of the Directorate General Public Relations (DGPR) in Lahore, Bukhari said that her party does not intend to do politics over the issue but will take strong action against those involved after verifying the identities through the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) and get the women the justice they deserve.

Responding to a question, Bukhari said that PML-N was accused of involvement in such cases in the past as well but later PTI’sown people proved that their partymen were involved. She said that Imran Khan can neither become a good leader nor a good person. She further said that Imran Khan will have to answer about the assurance of safety he had given to the women prior to public meeting in Faisalabad.
