Corruption, injustice causing increase in poverty: Shahbaz

Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday blamed the prevalent corruption, injustice and nepotism for the soaring poverty in the country. Addressing a passing-out parade of ASIs at Sihala Police College, Shahbaz said there is a wide gap between richs Pakistan and that of the pauper. Even after the lapse of 63 years, there is still darkness, the CM lamented over the status quo, and added, The poor found it hard to make both ends meet while the haves enjoy a luxurious life. The CM stated that the terrorists did not pursue any religion, nor had any nationality and expressed concern over the Islam being practiced by them. Extremism has turned into religious terrorism, Shahbaz added. He hailed the police force for combating the terrorist acts with bravery and courage. Later, he distributed prizes among the position holders.
