Devastation by rains continues throughout the country as 5 more die in roof collapsing incidents

LAHORE: (Dunya News) – Rains throughout the country continue to bring devastation as five more die in incidents of collapsing roofs and the death toll has now reached 26 in 3 days, reported Dunya News.

According to details, a youth died in Muridke’s area of Rehmanpur due to lightning. Another roof collapsed in Daultana area of Gojar Khan, killing 2 children. A woman and a 2-year-old girl died in Hatiyaan. 9 others were injured various incidents.

Meanwhile in Bakkakhel, 2 brothers died due to collapsing roof. National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) says that the death toll due to rains in three days has risen to 26.

Land-sliding due to rain also continues in the mountainous regions and Muzaffarabad Road in Murree is blocked at Phagwari for all kinds of traffic. In Azad Kashmir too, land route to various areas in blocked due to land-sliding. Muzaffarabad-Rawalpindi Road is also blocked.
