Shehbaz defends Women Protection Bill, discards critics
CM stated that no society can prosper without empowering women
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Shehbaz Sharif has defended the Women’s Protection Bill through a tweet on Sunday whilst completely discarding all critics on the landmark legislation, reported Dunya News.
Shehbaz stated that Punjab government is working upon the empowerment of women based upon the vision of Quaid-e-Azam. He further added that no society can prosper without uplifting the status of its women.
Punjab CM has associated the recently passed Women’s Protection Bill from the Punjab Assembly with the prosperity of the women of the province.
