Anti-Terror Court acquitted Shahjahan Baloch and aides from allegation of attacking Baghdadi police

KARACHI: (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) MNA Shahjahan Baloch has on Friday been acquitted along with his aides by Anti-Terror Court (ATC) from the allegation of attacking Baghdadi police, reported Dunya News.

According to details, a case had been registered against Shahjahan Baloch and Lyari gang war suspects Ameen Baledi and Ramzan in May 2012 for having injured Sub-Inspector Anwar Ahmad, Head Constable Altaf and Constable Aamir in a cracker attack on Baghdadi police mobile. The case had been registered by Baghdadi police.

The lawyers of the suspects claimed before the court that the prosecution had no solid proofs against their clients and the police had made cases against them out of personal issues and therefore, their clients deserved to be acquitted.

The case against Shahjahan and aides had been registered by Baghdadi police. Shahjahan Baloch and his aides were present in the court at the time of decision.
