Punjab assembly approved resolution presented by Uzma Bukhari against crime dramatization on TV
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Assembly on Tuesady approved a resolution calling for ban on dramatisation of crime scenes on TV, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Punjab Assembly approved the resolution regarding ban on dramatisation of crimes and showing them on TV. Federal government was recommended to ban such shows. Government and opposition on Punjab Assembly floor stood united against the dramatisation of crimes shows and related cases hence unanimously approved resolution against it.
Government member Uzma Bukhari presented this resolution which was opposed by none in the house. Punjab Assembly sent its recommendation to the federal government to ban such shows. Members of Punjab Assembly asserted that to glamourise crimes in dramatisation, spreading awareness about how-to-do of crimes and presenting criminals as heroes was unethical.
The resolution maintained that dramatising crimes was promoting filthy trends in the society. Punjab Assembly had asked federal govt to take corrective measures in this context.
