ATC reissues arrest warrants of Altaf among 23 in provocative speech case

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday has reissued non-bailable arrest warrants of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain among 23 members in case against alleged provocative speech.

Investigation officer filed a report in the matter which stated that MQM chief is in London while other nominated members are in Pakistan but none has been arrested.

The officer requested for more time to arrest the persons.

The court granted time to the authorities. A case has been registered against Altaf Hussain, Dr Farooq Sattar, Khalid Maqbool Siddique, Haider Abbas Rizvi and others in Gadap Police Station.

The case alleges Altaf Hussain of inciting the locals against the government and other institutions through provocative speeches.

The others nominated have been alleged of making arrangements for Altaf Hussain’s speeches.
