Karachi: Binoria University's professor injured while resisting robbery
Meanwhile police arrested extortionist Faheem during a raid in New Karachi Business area.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Binoria University’s (Jamia Binoria Aalimiyah) professor Maulana Saifullah Khalid was injured Thursday night while resisting an armed robbery in Karachi’s Nazimabad Number 7 area. Khalid was shifted to a private hospital in injured condition.
Meanwhile police arrested extortionist Faheem during a raid in New Karachi Business area.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Central Muqadas Haider, suspect was also wanted by police in an anti-terrorrism case.
Police took two alleged suspects belonging to Waziristan into custody during action in Mehmoodabad area.
SSP South Dr. Farooq stated that the criminal record of the alleged suspects was being checked.
Police also arrested 5 suspects including 3 injured during raids conducted in Korangi and Jamshed Town.
Police have claimed that the felons were involved in numerous cases of robbery and street crimes.
Ammunition, mobile phones and cash were recovered from the perpetrators.
