15 suspects arrested during Rangers, police operations in Karachi

At least 15 suspects, including target killers and dacoits were arrested in Karachi on Friday.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – According to details, Rangers conducted search operations in Jumma Goth, Naseerabad and Kalakot Police Station areas of Karachi on Friday and arrested four suspects.

A Rangers spokesman informed media that target killers and dacoits were among the arrested person. The spokesman further said that arms were also recovered from the arrested suspects.

Separately, Clifton Police conducted a search operation in Zamzama area and detained three suspects. Police sources said that the arrested person were identified as Imran, Liaquat and Rafeeq who were wanted by police in more than 50 cases of robberies.

Meanwhile, Brigade Police have also arrested three suspects involved in robberies and other street crimes during a search operation in the area.

Korangi Industrial Area Police also conducted a search operation in the area and arrested five suspects, including a woman. Police sources said that the arrested persons, who were identified as Danish Waqar, Shahmir, Shehroze and Kiran, were involved in murder of a man named Umair who was killed yesterday.

Separately, some unidentified persons opened fire in Lines area and injured a woman named Samina. In Gulshan Maymar area, some unidentified gunmen opened fire and critically wounded a man named Abdur Rehman.

On the other hand, six people sustained injuries when a speeding Hi-roof turned turtle near Qayyumabad area. The injured were shifted to Jinnah Hospital.
