Brouhaha in National Assembly for not disclosing LNG prices

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – A brawl broke out between the leaders of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and petroleum ministry during  National Assembly session today (Thursday).

According to details, PTI MNAs protested when the ministry refrained from telling the prices of Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG). Minister for petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi stated that Saif-ur-Rehman has no concern with LNG prices.

He said that OGRA has not declared LNG illegal while Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved the agreement. He said that the authorities cannot disclose the prices before the signature on Pakistan State Oil (PSO) agreement.

Overcoming the intensity of protest, NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq warned of adjourning the session. He said that illicit behavior of some parties would not be bore.
