Khan is contesting Jemima's brother for mayorship of London

LONDON (Dunya News) – Rooted in Pakistan, British parliamentarian Sadiq Khan is confident of winning the London s mayorship and is proud of his roots.

Labour Party’s candidate, Khan is a son of Pakistani bus driver in Britain’s London. The candidate hailing from Pakistan is contesting election against Conservative Party s famous Zac Goldsmith, brother of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan’s ex-wife, Jemima.

A recent survey showed that Sadiq Khan is far more famous among the locals than his opponent. Khan said that he is proud of the fact that he belongs to a family which hails from Pakistan.

The parliamentarian’s father migrated to Britain in 1960 and drove buses on London roads for as many as 25 years. Khan is a lawyer by profession and a billionaire by financial status. He has been elected as member of the parliament thrice.

Owing to his goodwill among the people, Labour Party has nominated Khan has its mayoral candidate. The candidate thanked Dunya News for showing tremendous support for him.
