Karachi police finalise security plan for new year's night
All roads leading to Sea View will be sealed tonight
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Police on Thursday have finalised security plan to avoid any unfortunate incident on new year’s night.
The authorities have deployed 3,294 personnel in Clifton and its surrounding areas.
South Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) said that police have been deployed at entry points of Clifton as well.
He said that at least 16 snap checking points would be established in different areas of Sea View and Clifton. On the other hand, traffic police have geared up to embrace new year night’s rush.
However, all roads leading to sea view will be sealed tonight.
All locals travelling from Gulberg, Gulshan Iqbal and New Karachi to Defense will have to take MA Jinnah Road, Zaibun Nisa Street, Do Talwar, Mazar Abdullah Ghazi or Khyaban-e-Ittehad.
While those coming from Gadap, Bin Qasim, Landhi, Korangi, Shah Faisal Colony, Jamshed Quarter and Sadar will have to take up Shara-e-Faisal, Hoshing Chowk, Teen Talwar.
Traffic police authorities said that strict action would be taken against riders driving silencer-less motorcycles.
