KARACHI (Dunya News) – Director General (DG) Rangers Bilal Akbar said on Thursday that the operation will continue till the elimination of the last terrorist. He said that many have sacrificed their lives for peace which will not go in vain, reported Dunya News.

According to details, DG Rangers said that Rangers’ operation against terrorists is going on successfully and that is the reason of terrorists’ desperate attacks on Rangers but such attacks cannot stop them and their morale is high. He said that the investigations of attacks on rangers and army soldiers are underway. Bilal Akbar said that they will soon arrest the culprits of attack on military policemen. He said that on the occasion of Imam Hussain Chehlam, Rangers will provide full security to the mourners.

Law enforcers have sped up targeted operation against criminals and terrorists after two Military Police personnel were gunned down on December 1, Dunya News reported Wednesday.

Rangers among other law enforcement agencies conducted search operations in Saddar, Manghopir, Bhimpura and surroundings of MA Jinnah Road. Sixty suspects were detained from different areas.

At least twenty suspects were detained from Manghopir while 35 from apartments situated on MA Jinnah. The law enforcers also searched houses in Saddar and Bhimpura’s Old City Area.

The paramilitary personnel apprehended a target killer belonging to a political party during Bhimpura operation. Huge cache of weapons was seized from the place which was to be used in suspected attacks during local body (LB) elections.
