Breach in dyke flooded Shahdadakot

After eating away the safety dyke, gushing water entered Shahdadkot while the Army personnel started rescuing the marooned people. Hundreds of people stranded when Thatta and Kaiti Khosa of Tando Hafiz Shah submerged in floodwater. Water surge increased pressure on Nawabshah embankments; a 950,000 cusecs flood tide is passing through old Hala near Bhanot whereas water ripped through four villages Jamal Hajano, Hameeso Machi, Wasso Machi and Jan Muhammad Laghari of Kutcha areas. Around ten villages including Interpor and Akro have been inundated by water surge in River Indus. In Balochistan, flood torrent took 25 villages under water of Gandakha of Jaffarabad. Water level in Dera Allah Yar has been increased to 16 feet disrupting its ground link from the rest of the country. Affectees were facing acute problems in shifting from the said areas. In Southern Punjab, flood water signed no sing to recede as Muzaffargarh, Khangarh and other areas are still under water. Bunda Ishaq, Faizpur, Makhan Bela and Chowk Bela and Chowk Nazeer were submerged while the protective embankment near Raheem Yar Khan has been broken to save the national highway from inundation. Jatoi, Rohailan, Shehar Sultan and other areas are still under water.
