Snipers have crucial role in war against terrorism: Army Chief
Training plays a key role in professional betterment of every soldier, he said
JHELUM (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Monday said that snipers have a crucial role to play in war against terrorism, adding that training is key to professional development of every soldier, Dunya News reported.
According to details, the army chief arrived in Jhelum to oversee 36th shooting competitions of Pak Army Rifles Association. Praising the performance of the shooters, the army chief said that training plays a key role in professional betterment of every soldier.
He said the snipers have a crucial role in the ongoing war against terrorism, adding that such competitions should be held continuously to enhance capacity.
Brigadier Shahnawaz, Lt Col Junaid Waqas, Lt Saud and Naveed Ahmed were declared best shooters in the shooting competitions.

Army Chief General Raheel Shairf visited Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul earlier this month. He said that challenges can only be tackled by best professional standards and training, reported Dunya News.
According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Raheel Sharif visited PMA Kakul to review capacity building training. Army Chief reviewed different aspects of training of cadets. He said that cadets should be aware of the rapidly changing situation of the world and regional areas.
General Raheel said that challenges can only be tackled by best professional standards and training.
