Justice (r) Javed Iqbal laid to rest

He is survived by a widow and two sons
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former Chief Justice of Lahore High Court (LHC) and son of poet of the east Allama Iqbal Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has been laid to rest in Lahore, Dunya News reported.
He had passed away at 91 in Lahore earlier today. The funeral was attended by former president of Pakistan Rafiq Tarrar, Chief Justice of Pakistan, Chief Justice LHC, federal ministers and high level officials other than a large number of people from all walks of life.
Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal has also served as Senator. He is survived by a widow and two sons.

Javed Iqbal has authored various books on Pakistan’s nationalism, movement and political ideology of Pakistan. Apart from philosophy, he had a prolific career in Judiciary of Pakistan and was a former Chief Justice of Lahore High Court before elevating to Supreme Court.
He was born in Sialkot on 5 October 1924 to Allama Muhammad Iqbal and his second wife, Sardar Begum. His mother died when he was 11, and his father died when he was 14.
