Section 144 has been imposed in Karachi for a month to control target killings. Tension deepens in port city of Karachi as incidents of target killings continue unabated, eight more people were killed, bringing the death toll to 88 since Monday.The violence was sparked with the killing of Muttahida Qaumi Movement MPA Raza Haider in a mosque, on Monday evening. His death triggered violence across the major towns of Karachi. The latest riots were reported in Baldia Town, Machar Colony, Orangi Town, Faqir Colony, Papush Nagar and New Karachi Industrial Area. Incidents of firing and arson were also reported from different parts of the city. Miscreants set ablaze the furniture market in the Bladia Town locality after resorting to indiscriminate firing.
