LNG power agreement: Official resigns after disagreement
Amjad Shaikh has resigned from his post.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Another top official resigned after disagreement with government’s order on Wednesday as CEO Power Purchasing Agency (PPA) Amjad Sheikh resigned, reported Dunya News.
According to sources, Amjad Sheikh has confirmed his resignation. Sheikh Amjad was being pressured into signing the power purchasing agreement without getting the approval of Economic Coordination Council (ECC), as per reports. Amjad Shaikh has, instead, resigned from his post rather than sign the power purchasing agreement.
