Use of mutton, beef in wedding ceremonies challenged in SC Lahore registry

The petitioner requested the court to ban the use of mutton and beef in wedding ceremonies.

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Use of mutton and beef in wedding ceremonies has been challenged in Supreme Court Lahore Registry today (Friday).

The petition filed by Barrister Zafarullah stated that due to increase in the usage and decrease in the quantity of milk and halal meat, sick and emaciated animals are served during the wedding ceremonies .

The plea said that various diseases are being emerging as a result of such activities whereas milk and halal meat have also become costly as they are used frequently in wedding ceremonies.

The petitioner requested the court to ban the use of mutton and beef while keeping in view the said reasons.
