Treason cases have been registered against the terrorists
KARACHI (Dunya News) – 4 terrorists were apprehended in a raid by Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Karachi on Thursday. Cases of treason have been registered against the suspects, reported Dunya News.
Briefing the media about the arrests of the terrorists, SSP Naveed Khawaja of CTD said that the terrorists received funding and obtained training in various parts of India. Arrested persons include Shafiq Pappu, Khalid Aman, Mohsin and Zafar which have taken part in several incidents of terrorism in the metropolitan city, according to their own admission. Some of the terrorists have asked to become the state’s witness.
SSP CTD said that the purpose of RAW’s agents was to instigate disturbance in the country and disrupt China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). Their plot however was uncovered by CTD and timely action made it possible to stop the nefarious plans.
SSP Naveed Khawaja said that there are bank accounts in certain banks through with funds were transferred to the agents adding that the accounts have been sealed. Treason cases have been registered against the terrorists, he said.
