Emotions run high on flag-lowering ceremony at Wagha Border
'Allah-o-Akbar' slogans raised by spectators, moving scenes observed at Ganda Singh Border as well
LAHORE, KASUR: (Dunya News, Web Desk) – Emotional scenes were to be seen at Wagha and Ganda Singh borders on Independence Day during the flag-lowering ceremonies at the two borders. ‘Allah-o-Akbar’ slogans were raised by the spectators on this occasion and moving scenes were observed, reported Dunya News.
Flag-lowering ceremony is held daily at Wagha Border but on Independence Day, it gives an entirely different picture as thousands of youngsters, kids, women and elderly people visit the border.’Long Live Pakistan’ and ‘Allah-o-Akbar’ slogans were raised today on this occasion to make the ceremony a memorable one.
Every moment was worth watching and every slogan warmed the blood of the spectators. As the Rangers stomped the Earth with their feet, the spectators raised ‘Pakistan Zindabad’ slogans.
The ceremony was equally heartwarming at the Kasur border as well. Political and social personalities, traders and citizens attended the ceremony at Ganda Singh Border in large numbers. Tough security measures had been taken on this occasion.
