Pakistan wishes to solve all outstanding issues with India through talks, says Aziz

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Advisor to Prime Minister (PM) on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz on Thursday has said that he would pay a visit to India on August 23.

He announced his visit in a joint press briefing with Iranian Minister for Foreign Affairs Javad Zarif in the capital.

Aziz said that Pakistan wishes to solve all outstanding issues with India through talks.

He said that Iran and Pakistan have vast opportunities to increase cooperation in various sectors. He said that Pakistan is eager to see gas pipeline project initiated. It will help control the energy crisis in the country, he added.

He said that the two sides have held constructive talks to enhance cooperation. While commenting on Iran’s nuclear deal, Aziz said that Pakistan welcomes the development in the matter. He hoped that the deal would add to international stability.

Zarif said that security and terrorism were among different matter discussed. The foreign FM also said that Iran supports talks with banned outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban and Afghanistan government.
