Tiba Sultan Pur: Police brutally torture Dunya News team
Police stations in Punjab have become the nursery of crimes and the province had become a hub of inhumane activities. In the latest incident the Dunya News team was tortured by the Tiba Sultan Pur Police while it was busy in coverage public protest against unabated loadshedding. Following the torture Dunya News cameraman Amin was locked up in the police station. The police was instructed by DSP Milesi Mustafa to baton charge Dunya News team. Severe torture was also committed on other Dunya News coverage team members including reporter Sharif Joyia, technician Junaid and driver Shahreyar. Police authorities also damaged the camera and mobile phones of the coverage team. However the police denied any torture.All responsible will be brought to justice, says IG PunjabInspector General Punjab Tariq Saleem Dogar talking to Dunya News said that he has categorically instructed the police to practice zero violence policy especially against the media. IG informed that he also directed RPO Multan to initiate an enquiry into the matter. He committed that those involve will be brought to justice.Full inquiry will be conducted, says Rana SanaullahPunjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah while talking to Dunya News said that during the past full inquiries were conducted into all incidents of Police flogging on the media and those held responsible were brought to justice. He said that he has instructed DPO of the area to conduct a full inquiry into the matter.
