Khurshid Shah demands PM Nawaz to summon APC over foreign policy
The country needs a new foreign policy especially post-Iran nuclear deal, he said
SUKKUR (Dunya News) – Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khurshid Shah on Sunday said that he has demanded Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to summon an All Parties Conference (APC) to formulate new foreign policy of the country, Dunya News reported.
Talking to the occasion after attending Eid reception by Islamic Ideology Council member Mufti Ibrahim at a local seminary, Shah said that the country needs a new foreign policy at this time, adding that Pakistan should benefit from Iran’s nuclear deal with western countries to its fullest. He said Pakistan should improve relations with its neighbours.
Shah said the current government was hesitant from entering into any agreement with Iran before but, he said, this hesitation should now end.
Speaking against the likelihood of Martial Law in Sindh, he said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain himself invited the army for operation because he didn’t trust the police.
The opposition leader also criticized PTI chief Imran Khan by saying Khan doesn’t threaten anyone and that Khan is in fact a threat for his own party.
