Operation against terrorists, abettors will continue: Army Chief
The army will not rest until a terrorism-free Pakistan is achieved
RAWALPINDI (Dunya News) – Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Friday said that the operation against the terrorists and their supporters and financers will continue across the country, adding that the army will not rest until a terrorism-free Pakistan is achieved, Dunya News reported.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Sharif visited North Waziristan and was briefed on the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb and on the plan put in place to clear Shawal area of the terrorists.
The ISPR said the sleeping cells of the terrorists established in far flung areas have been eliminated and that the Army Chief praised the successes achieved in the initial stage of Shawal operation.
The Army Chief also praised the intelligence team that conducted operations across the country based on the intelligence gathered.
Talking on the occasion, Army Chief said that the operation against terrorists and their facilitators will continue across the country, adding that the army will not rest without achieving the target of eliminating terrorism from Pakistan.
