PAT will start countrywide protest against JIT report after Friday: Raheeq Abbasi
LAHORE (Dunya News) – President Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Raheeq Abbasi said on Thursday that they do not accept the report of Joint Investigation Team (JIT) on Model Town incident. While addressing a press conference in Lahore, he said that the case of Model Town incident should be tried in Military Court. He said that they will start their peaceful protest countrywide against JIT report after Friday.
Raheeq said that for the unbiased investigation of the incident, there should be a JIT that does not have Punjab Police’s officers as members and the families of the victims have trust in the team. He said that they already knew the rulers will get ‘clean chit’.
Raheeq also demanded that the case should be investigated according to their FIR. Talking about Tahirul Qadri’s return to Pakistan, he said that the leader will soon come back to Pakistan after consulting his doctors.
