Pakistan condemns US drone strike in North Waziristan
Drone attacks are a clear violation of Pakistan's sovereignty and territorial integrity, the FO said
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk) - The Foreign Office on Monday condemned the latest US drone in the North Waziristan tribal region.
At least five people were killed in the drone attack in North Waziristan`s Mana area of North Waziristan on Sunday.
“We condemn such strikes which are a clear violation of Pakistan s sovereignty and territorial integrity. These generate distrust among the local populace at a time when Operation Zarb-e-Azab is moving ahead decisively and the focus of the Government is shifting towards rehabilitation of the civilian population,” the FO said.
The Foreign Office reiterated its call for a cessation of such strikes.
