Babar says he is serving black coats

Law Minister Babar Awan has termed the lawyers as the constitutional, judicial and democratic force of the country, and vowed to stand by the black coats at every step. Addressing Lahore Bar Council on Monday in a defiant tone, he claimed that he marched with the lawyers bare foot and not on Prado. He asserted that he neither believed in the lawyers politics nor in grouping. He said that doctors have advised me not to travel but I am left with only two options: one to hide and the other is to serve the lawyers, and claimed of doing the latter. He deplored that besides lawyers, journalists are also the marginalized section of society. He announced a donation of Rs10.25million for Punjab Bar Council in the next fiscal budget.
