LHC postpones hearing of application against Nawaz Sharif
Application was filed 24 years ago stating that Nawaz Sharif has billion of rupees in foreign banks
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) postponed hearing of application against Nawaz Sharif for one week on Friday. The application was filed by Barrister Javed Iqbal Jaffery 24 years ago in which he stated that Nawaz Sharif has billion of rupees in foreign banks and he should be declared disqualified by the court.
Javed Iqbal demanded in the application that Nawaz Sharif should be personally summoned in court in the case of illegal assets in foreign countries. Barrister Javed Iqbal requested the court to give him 3 weeks time to prepare the case to which Justice Farrukh Irfan said that the case is very important and sensitive so Javed Iqbal should not ask for more time and come with better argument. Court gave him one week to prepare his case.
