Security plan for KP local govt elections finalised

The local government elections would take place on May 30th in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

PESHAWAR (Web Desk) – Authorities have finalised security plan for the local government elections in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Dunya News reported.

A total of 10,855 polling stations have been established across the province out of which 2,837 have been declared highly sensitive, 3,940 sensitive and 4,076 are normal.

More than 76,000 law enforcement personnel will be deployed at these polling stations to avert any untoward incident.

In Peshawar district, more than 19,000 candidates would contest the elections whereas up to 1.3 million voters have been registered.
