Protesters said Iranian army chief's threat exposed Iranian backing for Houthis against Saudi Arabia
LAHORE: (Daily Dunya) – Ahle Hadith Youth Force has on Tuesday said that the Iranian army chief’s threat to Saudi Arabia is a clear indication that Houthis enjoy Iran’s backing. They said that this statement has now removed any reason to oppose sending troops to Yemen, reported Dunya News.
Protesting against Iranian brigadier’s statement outside Lahore Press Club, Ahle Hadith Youth Force said that Saudi concerns regarding Houthi rebels’ agenda have been vindicated by this statement. The protesters blocked the road outside press club due to which entire traffic got affected. They lit tyres to protest against Iran and expressed solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
Protesters demanded United Nations Security Council to take notice of the statement. They said that the Saudi decision to act in Yemen was in accordance with Shariah Law since the Yemeni government had itself asked for Saudi help. They said that this statement had proven Jamiat Ahle Hadith leader Professor Sajid Mir’s concerns that Houthi rebels were trying to destroy the peace of Muslim world with the backing of Iran.
They said that Houthis’ dream to occupy Medina and Makkah will never realize. They said that parliamentary resolution has lost its importance after clear threat by Iran. “Sending Pakistan army for guarding Saudi Arabia had now become inevitable”, they said.
