LB election: ECP bars voters from bringing mobile phones during polling
On the other hand, ECP has also declared all the polling stations of NA-246 as sensitive.
ISLAMBAD (Dunya News) – Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Tuesday has geared up to halt any possibility of rigging by putting a ban on bringing mobile phones during polling of local bodies election in cantonment areas, Dunya News reported.
As per ECP’s instructions, voters would not be allowed to take any electronic material along with them to the polling stations and further directed the administration to monitor all the process.
All the retiring officers (RO), deputy retiring officers (DRO) and presiding officers have been asked to perform their duties honestly whereas ECP has also authorized the relevant officers to take strict action against the violators.
On the other hand, ECP has also declared all the polling stations of NA-246 as sensitive and gave a magistrate status to the deployed Rangers personnel.
