KARACHI (Dunya News) – In an exclusive interview with Dunya News, MQM’s former member Saulat Mirza’s wife on Friday stated that her husband was being punished due to wrong doings of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) chief Altaf Hussain and MQM. She stated that Mirza’s name was not in the First Information Report (FIR) so why was he being punished.
Mirza’s wife stated in the exclusive interview that the case should be reinvestigated and the true facts should be highlighted. She stated that her husband was not the only one culprit and others involved in the crime should also be punished. She also stated that she received 3 threatening calls in a day. She stated that the caller threatened that Mirza and her wife were not doing the right thing and the consequences of their actions would be dire.
Mirza’s wife stated that the MQM chief used to say that Saulat is our tiger, now he says that he has never heard of him. She stated that various MQM leaders were in contact with her husband but now they are lying about it. She stated that her she met with Governor Sindh numerous times and even talked to Hussain via fax. Mirza’s wife stated that they were in contact with Muhammaed Anwer in London and they updated him about the details of the case.
Mirza’s wife stated that her husband did not give the video statement in anybody’s pressure. She stated that the motive behind it was to protect those people who are being used by MQM.
Mirza’s wife also informed that her husband was not able to attend the funeral of his parents due to the party.
