The court ordered the police to submit complete investigation report until April 17

LAHORE (Dunya News) – A special Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday has granted extension in the remand of state minister’s son Mustafa Kanju and four others in the Zain Ali murder case.

Justice Rai Ayub held hearing of the case. Kanju and four others were presented before the court after 8-day physical remand granted earlier expired today.

The police submitted the initial investigation report which states that a Kalashnikov has been seized from the criminal’s possession. The police urged the court to extend the physical remand for the arrests of others. However, Kanju maintained that he is innocent and is not involved in the murder.

The court ordered the police to submit complete investigation report and record Kanju’s statement until April 17 after extending the remand by as many as six days.

Earlier, Kanju fled the city after allegedly opening fire in the Cavalry Ground due to a brawl and killed a 15-year-old student Zain Ali.
