Pak-US strategic dialogue on energy commences in Islamabad
Strategic dialogue between Pakistan and US aimed at expanding cooperation between the two countries in the field of energy began in Islamabad.Minister for Water and Power Raja Pervez Ashraf is heading the Pakistani side, while US delegation is being led by David Layton. The officials of the ministries of Water and Power and Petroleum will brief the participants about the challenges faced by Pakistan in energy sector. The participants would also review issues including supply of clean water across Pakistan, global warming, and water regulatory authorities in Pakistan. According to sources, both sides would finalize a strategy to combat the challenges.
