Second PIA flight to leave for Yemen for evacuation of stranded Pakistanis
On the request of Pakistan government, Chinese Ships are also providing help to evacuate Pakistanis.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan International Airline’s (PIA’s) second flight will depart to Dijabouti today (Wednesday) from Karachi to bring back the stranded Pakistanis from war-torn Yemen, Dunya News reported.
On the request of Pakistan government, Chinese Ships are also providing help to evacuate Pakistanis.
According to details, Chinese ship carrying 200 Pakistanis will reach Dijabouti from Aden whereas special flight of PIA PK-7003 will bring them back to the country.
The plane has the capacity of 212 passengers whereas the schedule of the flight’s return will be issued after considering the situation of Yemen.
Airbus A-310 which was sent previously to Yemen will also leave at 12 midnight and will reach Karachi.
Moreover, a frigate of Pakistan Navy has also reached near Aden from where the Pakistani compatriots will be brought to the plane through boats whereas the second frigate will reach Yemen on April 2.
According to Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson, less than 500 Pakistanis are left in Yemen who will soon be evacuated safely.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has directed to extricate Pakistanis from Yemen as soon as possible.
He was briefed about the latest situation regarding stranded Pakistanis in Yemen.
Right now, 100 Pakistanis are present in Almakla and 75 are present in Sanaa, the Yemeni capital, and will be brought back by air.
They Pakistanis residing in Sanaa may also be shifted to Almakla in case Sanaa Airport doesn’t start operating.
PM Nawaz directed to leave no stone unturned for bringing Pakistanis safely back to their home.
