Gunmen shoot Army officer in Peshawar

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Colonel Tahir of Pakistan Army embraced martyrdom today (Sunday) when two unidentified motorcyclist opened fire on him in Hayatabad Phase 3 area of Peshawar, Dunya News reported.
According to details, Colonel Tahir was deployed in Rawalpindi and came to Peshawar to meet his relatives.
He was going home after offering Zuhr prayer when unknown men on a motorbike shot him on his head multiple times.
Heavy contingent of police and security forces reached the scene on getting information and cordoned off the area whereas investigation of the incident is also underway.
Colonel Tahir’s two brothers Shakeel and Waqas were also killed by unidentified men in 2004 and 2005 respectively.
